I
dont know what I am going to do if I move away from Shawnee?????This is
as close as it gets to competing with the SoCal style burgers in Kansas
City....San Diego is the MECCA for burgers, and Bam's would fit right
in with the likes of Hodad's in Ocean Beach, Rocky's in PB, etc...love
this place and especially the En Fuego!
My
friend and I and our kids went here for lunch before heading to
Wonderscope. It was awesome. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and
was able to get grilled chicken instead of breaded and deep-fried. The
kids' hamburger was the perfect size for a kid. My other 2 kids had the
chicken nuggets. It's hard to mess them up (though we have been to
places where they have been royally messed up!), and they were quite
tasty. My friend had the veggie burger. She said she is picky about
veggie burgers, and she thoroughly enjoyed this one. My kids decided to
be obnoixious, annoying children while at here, but the staff was
incredible forgiving and gracious.
You
can't judge a restaurant by its exterior. Sure it looks a little "hole
in the wallish" on the outside, but truly do not let this fool you. The
food is really delicous and the atmosphere on the inside is not the same
as the plain jane outside. The dining area is clean, the counters are
clean, and when there are no customers the person at the counter is
cleaning.Today,I stopped in for the first time and ordered a Ladder 49
with rings. I was thoughroughly impressed by the non-flattened juicy
burger that I got. My cheese was nice and melted and the cancun sauce
was perfectly spicy. My rings were hot, but not to hot to the point of
not being able to eat them all in the car on my drive back to work.I
like the simple menu. It has multiple types of burgers, chicken
sandwiches, sides and salads. It also has a great children's menu that
even a picky kid could find something with. And if it is not on the
menu, just ask, they might just make it for you.I look forward to eating
here more.
I
tried it on a whim and really liked it. The menu has some tasty looking
sandwiches in addition to burgers, and all the prices were about five
bucks per sandwich. I tried the Ladder 49 and would recommend it to
anybody that likes a spicy burger. The beef was medium-well and slightly
seasoned. Don't forget to add the jap's, too.
